What does VHS to digital cost Melbourne customers?
The starting point is the number of tapes you want transferred. We charge per tape and include cleaning. Bring the tapes you want done so we can agree the price for your job, rather than working from a price for somebody else's collection.

Cleaning and damaged tapes
Mouldy tapes are usually identified at the counter and discussed with you. If the mould is minor, there is usually a good outcome. Broken tapes can usually be fixed for a small fee.
Tell us about any damage you know of when you bring the tapes in. Every job is labelled and identified with a unique four digit sticker.

Your USB and the tape formats
You may supply your own USB, or buy one at the counter. If you plan to use a drive you already have, bring it with the tapes and discuss it when arranging the transfer.
A mixed collection may include camcorder tapes as well as VHS. Tell us which formats you have so the quote covers the work you actually want done. Our Video8, Hi8 and Digital8 transfers in Melbourne page covers those smaller tape formats.

Agree the price before work starts
The VHS to digital cost Melbourne customers pay is fixed and agreed at our counter before work starts, with no hidden fees. Ask about the total for your tapes, including any repair work and a USB if you need one.
Rush jobs are not charged extra. Timing varies with the quantity of tapes, their condition and our workload, so tell us if you have a date in mind.
