Here's a summary of our photo services, from printing and framing to digital imaging of existing photographs. Each service has its own page with more detail. Gift cards are available through our online ordering site.

Photos are inspected and assessed at the counter, with advice about the expected outcome, time frame and cost. Prices are fixed and agreed before work starts, with no hidden fees. Every job is identified with a unique four digit sticker. Your originals stay in the shop.

We print photos, poster-sized images and canvas prints. Printing and framing are available as one package. Prints up to 8x12 inches (20x30 cm) use Fujifilm Frontier printers with genuine Fujifilm gloss or lustre paper. Larger prints use Canon wide format printers with a lustre finish.

Every image is individually colour adjusted before printing. Online photo prints ordered by 11am on a day we are open are ready to collect the same afternoon, or go out the same day by Express Post. Canvas Prints has more about that service.

Custom picture framing covers portraits, wedding images, posters, corporate packages and memorabilia, with hundreds of mouldings to choose from. See Custom Picture Framing for more.

We stretch canvas and artwork, repair frames and restore photographs. Ready-made frames and photo albums are sold in store; see Albums & Frames.

We scan photos on Epson flatbeds, most at 600dpi, with higher resolution available on request. Slides and negatives use a Fujifilm SP3000. Scans give you digital files to keep and share.

We no longer process film; that stopped in April 2023. Scanning existing negatives is still available. Photo scanning in Melbourne covers prints, with separate pages for slides and negatives.

We transfer 8mm, Super 8, 9.5mm and 16mm cine film, plus VHS, VHS-C, SVHS, MiniDV, Hi8, Video8 and Digital8 tapes, to DVD or digital files. Tape transfers are charged per tape, cleaning included, and you may supply your own USB for a tape transfer. Film is quoted on the reels.

Call in for passport, visa, Working with Children and ID photos. An Australian passport set of four starts at $25. We can provide printed photos or a digital upload for most countries, with costs varying. See Passport Photos for details.

For photo services in Melbourne, bring your items to our Kew East shop opposite the Harp Hotel. No appointment is needed. Bring things as they are; we do the labelling. Call (03) 9855 0006 to discuss the job.

Tram route 48 stops right out the front at stop 39. There are public car parks near the shop in Valerie Street and Strathalbyn Street. We're open Monday to Thursday 10.00am to 5.00pm and Friday 10.00am to 4.00pm, closed weekends.

Jobs other than online printing vary with quantity, condition and how busy the lab is.
