Send photos from a tablet, or by email

An iPad or an Android tablet orders the same way as a phone, on a bigger screen. This page shows every step on a real iPad and a real Android tablet. Email is the one that catches people out, so it also explains why, and what to do instead.

Before you start

You do not need an account, a password or an app. You only need the tablet and the internet (your home Wi-Fi is fine).

“Upload” is the word for sending a photo from your tablet to us. Nothing leaves your tablet; a copy is sent, and only you and the lab can see it.

If you get stuck at any step, ring us on (03) 9855 0006 and we will walk you through it, or bring the tablet in and we will do it with you.

Which tablet do you have?

The pictures below change to match it.

Watch it done first

This is the whole thing on a real tablet, start to finish. Each step is written on the screen as it happens. There is no sound. Press the play button in the middle of the picture to start.

Choose your kind of tablet first, so the pictures on this page match yours. If it has an apple on the back, it is an iPad.

Why we ask you not to email photos

Email was never made for photos. Most email programs shrink each photo so it fits, which means the print looks soft, and most of them refuse to send more than a handful at a time, so forty photos becomes ten emails and something always goes missing.

The ordering page does not shrink anything and takes a hundred photos at a time, and it keeps your photos next to the sizes you chose, so nothing gets muddled. That is why we ask everyone to use it, even for one photo.

If you have one or two photos and really cannot use the page, ring us on (03) 9855 0006 and we will sort something out.

Sending things by post

Prints, negatives, slides, tapes and film can be posted to us from anywhere in Australia. Fill in the postal order form on our website, print the slip, and post it with your items by Registered or Express Post. We ring you when the parcel arrives and again when it is ready to send back.
